Supplies You’ll Need FOR A DIY Floral Dresser Makeover

  • Wood filler
  • Sandpaper (120 + 220 grit)
  • Molding appliqués (I used floral + leaf designs)
  • Strong adhesive (E6000, CA glue, or wood glue)
  • Clamps or painter’s tape
  • Primer

  • Topcoat (matte or satin works beautifully)
  • New knobs

Step-by-Step: How I Fixed and Flipped This Floral Dresser

Step 1: Clean + Remove Hardware

Take off the knobs, wipe everything down, and inspect for loose or damaged veneer.

Step 2: Remove Damaged Veneer

This dresser had areas where the veneer was lifting. I used a scraper and gentle pressure to remove the loose pieces. (Tip: A heat gun can help soften stubborn areas.)

Step 3: Fill & Sand
